The following list of club members are in good standing with the Huron River Labrador Retriever Club and the American Kennel Club. Members have agreed to follow the HRLRC Code of Ethics when engaged in breeding, exhibiting, handling, and selling Labrador Retrievers and to refrain from activity which would be detrimental to the breed or to the Huron River Labrador Retriever Club, Inc.

Selecting a good breeder can provide you with years of happiness from a wonderful, loving Labrador Retriever. Knowledgeable breeders are:

• Involved in some type of dog activities (show, field, or performance events) or a local breed club.

• Breeding stock which has appropriate OFA (hip and elbow) and ACVO or CERF (eye) certificates.

• Willing to answer questions and give advice before and after you obtain your puppy.

• Able to provide a three generation pedigree and complete medical history of your puppy.

• Dedicated to producing mentally and physically sound puppies, and to better the breed

• Willing to aid in the placement of any puppy they breed, even if the owner cannot keep the animal.
